Net zero hero Mandeep picks up Scottish Apprenticeship Award

Apprentice Mandeep Singh’s passion for net zero has seen him pick up Scotland’s Net Zero Apprentice of the Year title at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards on Friday, March 8th.

The 20-year-old from Renfrew is currently in his second year of a Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation with FES Group.

Mandeep’s been involved in work on solar farms and district heating projects across the country, which has cut CO2 emissions and helped Scots cut their energy bills.

Training Officer Frankie Grieg said, “Mandeep has been a model apprentice in college, as he is always on top of his OneFile tasks and regularly asks questions about them. He has a great attitude toward work and college and is very well thought of on-site”.
