Apprentices shortlisted for AICO

Two Scottish apprentices were shortlisted for the AICO National Apprentice of the Year 2024.

This award has been established to recognise outstanding apprentices who not only have good technical skills but are role models for others in the industry. The electrical professionals of tomorrow are so important to our industry, and we aim to highlight and celebrate their success.

Pictured with Tony Boyle from AICO (an ex-SECTT apprentice himself) is

Liam Love, Borders College and works for John Noble Electrical Contractors on the left; and

Uwais Razaq, Dundee College and works for Dundee City Council on the right.

Both apprentices made it through the first stage of 140 apprentices from across Britain, to the 12 shortlisted for the practical heat. The final 6 will be invited to AICO community awards, where the overall winner will be announced.

SECTT wishes both the best of luck!
